Central Queensland Graziers Peter and Denise Comiskey have taken to the Land Court to force the negotiation of a better compensation agreement (CE) with mining minnow Futura Resources' subsidiary Fairhill Coking Coal Pty Ltd (Fairhill)

A 2020 CE exists between Fairhill and the Comiskeys relating to the recently opened Wilton and Fairhill mines, which can produce around 3 million tonnes of hard-coking coal a year if full production is reached.
