As one wind projects nears completion - local member says others using bullying tactics

The proponent of the Clark Creek wind farm says that the construction phase is nearly complete, with only three more turbines to be installed.

The first 207-metre-high turbine at Australia’s largest renewables hub on the Clark Creek ranges, midway between Rockhampton and Mackay, was erected in late 2023. After dozens of midnight-long loads from Gladstone Port delivering the components, Squadron Energy says they are almost done.

“The project team has completed the successful installation of 97 turbines at Clarke Creek Wind Farm, with three more turbines to be erected,” they said.

“After all 100 turbines have been installed, energised, and testing is completed, the project will transition to the operations phase [with] the operations buildings on site also approaching completion.”
