Chris Wallin’s Qcoal resumes its anti-Labor election campaign
Qcoal has resumed its campaign against the Queensland Labor Government over its decision to limit the use of mining camps at their Byerwen operations.
The company believes its Byerwen miners have been denied fundamental human rights and treated unfairly due to secret legislation rushed through parliament late last year that effectively forced the company to accommodate miners in Glenden rather than on-site.
The company and its founder, Chris Wallin, were so outraged by the decision they registered a political entity called Energy Resources Queensland (ERQ) with the Electoral Commission to spend $1m on a statewide anti-labour campaign before the October election.
