“3 is simply unacceptable”

Investigations are underway, but key findings have still not been released

Queensland Mines Minister Scott Stewart has assured attendees of the 2024 Miners Memorial Day Service in Collinsville this week that investigations into the three recent deaths in the Bowen Basin are continuing and will deliver answers.

Of the more than 1500 miners who have lost their lives in Queensland, three have occurred in the last twelve months in the Bowen Basin.
